Our illustrious drummer turns 45!! So we are going to hit the driftwood stage to play a bunch of his favorite LSB tunes on Feb 6th at 7pm!! In the meantime…here’s another demo of one of the tunes we will be recording for a new album in Feb.

Big news!! After a few months of learning new material and demoing some new songs – we’ve decided to make another album!! We are going to spend the winter months rehearsing and recording and hopefully we will have a brand spankin’ new LSB record to share with you all in the summer! In the meantime – please enjoy this demo of one of our new songs “Dangerous”!

Thanksgiving Eve Rockfest at the Driftwood!!
We had a blast debuting new material last weekend at the Driftwood Char Bar in Minneapolis. Such a good time in fact, that we are going to rock the Driftwood one more time this year on the night before Thanksgiving – Nov. 25th!! Join us, won’t you?

Man, our shows at Mattie’s on Main in Minneapolis and supporting Roger Clyne at Circus Pinecus were ridiculously fun! We can’t wait for Stone Tap Takeover in Northfield MN on July 31 & Chickentown in Cresco IA on August 1st!! So there’s still a chance to catch our summer set!!

The show will feature tunes not typically heard with the LSB. Also, $2 Bill will be one of the friends, but he won’t be playing keys or trumpet. Come out and see what he will be playing…

Wow, the last few months has been a whirlwind of activity. All the holiday media attention and TV appearances and the big show in Winona for Adam Strelow’s CD Release show (in 50 years there has NEVER been that many people in the Goodview Bar). We are finally getting back into the routine and getting back to our favorite MPLS venue – the Driftwood Char Bar!! We will be there on Feb 27th from 9-10:30 with Kent Mortimer on drums again! A not miss show full of new tunes and even more Lazy Ass Brass Section!

JUST RELEASED!! A new Music Video from j. bell & the Lazy Susan Band!! Folks, I’m really excited about this. For 10 years Brian Zirngible and I put together a Toys For Tots CD with many local artists and raised thousands and thousands of toys for struggling families. This is the first year we are not doing it and I’ve been reflecting on how some of these great original Holiday songs were only available on those compilation CDs. So my very good friend Kaptian Karl Wicklund hand made some fantastic illustrations for one of my favorites: “50 Million Santa Fans” and this is the result – please share with all of your friends!
